OLAPLEX™: “One ingredient changes everything”
New and revolutionary, OLAPLEX™ is an upgrade service for hair colouring. Dean Christal from America is the man who made it all happen. He is persistent and audacious. It was designed by scientists Dr Eric Pressly PHD in Materials and Dr Craig Hawker PHD in Chemistry. With outside eyes and innovation: They both came from outside the world of cosmetic science.
is a single active ingredient, designed to reconnect the disulphide sulfur bonds broken by the process of permanent hair coloring and lightening. OLAPLEX™ is free of silicones, oils, aldehydes and parabens.
‘Garage Grown’ in the Californian technology tradition. The team knew what they wanted and after hours of preparation and mixing, Dean sought the opinion and test results of industry experts and hairdressing’s top colourists. They and their celebrity clients sent the message across the world. Colour, strength and shine; it works.

December 2014 OLAPLEX™ was launched right across America.
In Great Britain, the launch is down to Leslie Spears of Star Qualities Limited – the man that brought 365 Day Hairdressing, Paul Mitchell and Moroccanoil to market.
Leslie said:“OLAPLEX™ is all about passion, quality and sharing. As a salon owner, I believe that the people in this country who set the top standards for hairdressing are the Top Salons and Top Stylists in each town. It is their passion and commitment that should be rewarded.”
Olaplex is free of silicone, sulfates, phthalates, DEA, aldehydes, gluten and is never tested on animals. Olaplex reconnects broken disulfide sulfur bonds in the hair. Hair bonds are broken during thermal, mechanical and chemical services.
For hair that has been compromised chemically or thermally, this should be your first step. The Bond Multiplying treatment can be used as a reset button for your hair and by doing so allows you to rebuild the strength, structure and integrity to the point where a color or chemical service would then be feasible once again. This treatment may be done before and/or after a chemical service and may be applied in the salon once a week or more. Compatible with all hair types from virgin to extremely compromised chemically treated hair.
Olaplex may be used in lighteners, base color, and glosses with all types of extensions from keratin bonds, extension links, braid-in extensions and tape-in human hair extensions.
Olaplex No. 2 Bond Perfector is not a conditioning treatment nor is it an activator or neutralizer. It uses the same active ingredient found in the Bond Multiplier No.1, however developed as a cream form for ease of application and use in the Olaplex System.
Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector is your portion of the Olaplex System and contains the same active ingredient as both the No.1 and No. 2. This enables you the client to repair and maintain strong, healthy hair in between services as it continues to link bonds within the hair.
The Olaplex System works great with keratin treatments. Due to these treatments smoothing and sealing the cuticle, we recommend doing the Olaplex Bond Strengthening Service beforehand.
Will the bonds that were created eventually break and cause my hair to then break? This question is asked often and the answer is no. Even if you completely stop using Olaplex, the disulfide link that Olaplex offered is permanent. The condition of the hair there after, depends on how the client treats their hair.
Quick and Easy – This is a great treatment that can be used on any client whether you had a chemical service or not. Great way to help sustain the structure of the hair and leaves hair feeling soft and manageable.
